Campaign for Vermont Prosperity Announces Questionnaire Results

Burlington, VT – Today Campaign for Vermont Prosperity (CFV) announced the results from a statewide canvassing of legislative candidates on topics that matter to Vermonters. Candidates were asked a series of seven questions related to the economy, health care, education, and government ethics. The full questionnaire can be viewed here: CampaignForVermont.org/2016Questionnaire

“We were pleased by the breadth of responses,” said Executive Director Ben Kinsley. “A number of key legislators weighed in and there was representation from all three major parties.” CFV distributed the questionnaire to give candidates a platform to share their ideas with CFV’s network of nearly 20,000 Vermonters and to foster a more informed and engaged electorate.

“It’s exciting to be engaged with so many Vermonters and to be part of the conversation about what we want our state to look like” said Louise McCarren, Chair of the CFV Board of Directors. “These are issues that really matter.”

“You voice matters,” said Kinsley. “Before you vote take a look at where your candidates stand on the issues important to you.”

The full results are available at CampaignForVermont.org/2016_Questionnaire_Results and are searchable by name, town/county, and legislative district.

Campaign for Vermont is a non-partisan group advocating for prosperity for all Vermonters through public policy reforms in government ethics, transparency, and sustainability.
