President, Campaign for Vermont Prosperity
Pam Mackenzie brings to Campaign for Vermont Prosperity (CFV) a rare combination of executive leadership, deep Vermont connections, and a lifelong commitment to strengthening the communities she serves. As CFV's new President, she leads the organization's nonpartisan mission to advance data-driven public policy, civil discussion, transparency and accountability in government, and build an economy in which every Vermonter is secure and able to prosper.
A Career Built on Strategy, Service, and Results
Pam is an established leader with a proven record of developing and implementing long-term strategies for both public and private sector organizations. Throughout her career, she has built cultures of engagement, service excellence, and sustainable growth—consistently turning around underperforming organizations and guiding institutions through periods of significant change.
Her executive experience spans some of the most respected names in telecommunications and technology. She held senior strategic planning and implementation roles at Xerox IT Services and C2 Competitive Computing, where she helped prepare a privately held company for acquisition by building leadership teams, human resources infrastructure, and modern marketing capabilities. As Senior Vice President of Employee & Partner Engagement at Inntopia, she restructured a partner services organization spanning five offices and serving more than 300 clients. Earlier, as an Area Vice President with Comcast, Adelphia, and other leading telecommunications providers, Pam led teams of hundreds of employees serving hundreds of thousands of customers across multiple states—delivering major infrastructure projects on time, expanding access to high-speed internet and advanced services in rural markets, and earning a reputation for taking systems "from worst to first."
A Champion for Vermont
Pam's public service reflects a deep dedication to Vermont's future. She served as Chair of the Vermont Telecommunications Authority, leading a nine-member board responsible for building broadband and cellular services across the state through public-private partnerships and the stewardship of more than $300 million in federal and state funds dedicated to connecting rural and underserved communities.
She also chaired the Board of Vermont Public Television, ensuring the organization fulfilled its mission while navigating a rapidly changing media landscape, and served as Chair of the South Burlington City Council, where she led the community through high-visibility issues including the settlement of a major lawsuit, airport development, and the establishment of the area's first hub-and-spoke opioid treatment location in partnership with the Howard Center. She additionally guided the Greater Burlington YMCA as Interim CEO during a national leadership search and supported the State of Vermont's Agency of Commerce & Community Development in implementing its economic development marketing plan and Talent Pipeline program.
Community Leadership
Pam's commitment to civic and community life is extensive. She has served as an Honorary Commander of the Vermont Air National Guard and has contributed to the boards and committees of the University of Vermont Medical Center, the Greater Burlington Industrial Corporation, the Vermont Business Roundtable, Vermont Works for Women, the United Way of Chittenden County, Mercy Connections, the Howard Center, Women in Cable & Telecommunications, and Cynosure, among others. Her board work has touched issues central to Vermont's prosperity, including universal pre-K legislation, diversity and inclusion, financial literacy, cybersecurity, and home health and hospice care.
Her career in public service began early, with a role at The White House serving President Jimmy Carter from 1977 to 1980, launching a lifetime of leadership in the public and private sectors.
